55% IPL is a light therapy and not a traditional laser. It is so popular because the IPL machine is cheaper than lasers. The average price of per session is also about half of laser treatment. However, you will need about double sessions to get the same results and to maintain it than you would with lasers.

It is not as effective at targeting the deeper, thicker hair. They are more successful when used to remove fine, thin hairs with shallow roots. However, it is not recommended because the higher risks of burning skin special for skin type IV, V, VI.

Perhaps, IPL is a good opt if you have the light skin and only need to reduce the density of hairs. The less sessions can meet for you and the total cost of treatment is cheap.

Ruby deeps red color at 694 nm is highly absorbed by the melanin pigment in hair, making it an excellent choice for fine and light hair. However, melanin in the skin absorbs the Ruby laser very effectively too, so there's a high risk of burns or changes to pigmentation when used on darker skin including tanned skin, it is only really can suitable for white skin.

Unless you are very afraid of pain, otherwise it is not recommended.
